P2 (U7): Explain the media platforms used for news distribution

Online:

The news article that I have chosen to talk about is the sale from Rhode to e.l.f cosmetics for 1 billion dollars. One way that this news story is it shown online in an article on the fashion network. This story is being presented as big news for the fashion and beauty industry. This is because they used a big title with words such as 1 billion and change the world for celebrities. The target audience of this news online article would be teenage girls and women from the ages of 16-25. This is because these ages of girls are the majority fan base of Haley Bebier. This target audience as well are fans of makeup and may be customers of Rhode as well as e.l.f. This news stories on the fashion network has little words along with a large image of Haley Bebier. This may be because, the target audience of this news story may not want to read a lot and images may be more entertaining for them. The language in this news article is more informal than formal. This is because the age range of 16-25 years old would not be the target demographic for formal and long paragraphs. This is why the fashion network chose to use informal writing to entice and entertain their target audience.

Newspaper:

This news article that I have chosen to talk about is the sale from Rhode to e.l.f cosmetics for 1 billion dollars. One way this news story is it is shown on a newspaper on the New York times. This news story is being presented as big and important news in the fashion and the industry. Also, this news story is being presented as important as it is on the front cover of the New York Times which means it is an important article. The target audience for this newspaper would be similar to the one of the online article. However, the age may start older from 20-35 women. This is because it isn't typical that teenagers would buy a physical copy of a newspaper because there are many online options now. In this article there are an even amount of images to words. This is because it is importance to make the article look interesting with images. However, as it is on a physical newspaper on the front cover it is important to still have words and paragraphs on it. The language on this newspaper is more informal than formal. This is because it works with the target audience of 20-35 year old women. As well as this, the topic of the article is not formal or a sensitive one, so the text inside it reflects the article's story.

Tv:

This news article that I have chosen to talk about is the sale from Rhode to e.l.f cosmetics for 1 billion dollars. One way this news story is shown is on TV at good morning America. This news story is being presented as an important news that is needed to be shared to a wide audience. This is because, it was shown on Good Morning America which is a big tv network and they only talk about relevant and imprint news that their listeners would want to know about. The target audience for this TV news story would be 20-35 year old women. This is because, women of the age of 20-35 may be the main target audience for this news article as well as being the target demographic for the TV show Good Morning America. In this Tv news story there are hardly any words shown, and mostly images of Haley Bieber and her brand. There are also a range of images from e.l.f. The TV show is more informal as they want to entertain the audience and keep them interested and keep watching.

Social media:

This news article that I have chosen to talk about is the sale from Rhode to e.l.f cosmetics for 1 billion dollars. One way this news story is shown is on social media. This news story is being presented on social media as a big news in the influencers, celebrity and beauty industry. This is because, on many different social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and Facebook they all are talking about the news story and how interesting and exiting its for the industry. The target audience for the news story on social media would be 15-25 years old girls. This is because the younger age range of girls use social media more, and would be the primary target audience for all the social media posts. They also may be ones posting or reposting about the news article to talk about it, share opinions and create buzz for the news story. On social media there are more images than text. This is because, on social media people don't want to be reading a lot, so more images will be used to keep them entertained and keep watching or looking at the images or videos. The language on the social media posts are all informal, as the people making them know the target audience for the social media posts are all young. It would be interested in informal language, both in text and speech.
